Prayer Answered

What was the prayer? We have been praying that God would make this decision unmistakably clear to us both as to what we are to do. He has answered us without question. Although we thought we had a decision to make and have been deliberating and stressing over this whole process in the end, there was no decision to be made. We came to a conclusion over the weekend to enter the study after many conversations, tears, and prayer. God brought us through this decision-making process bringing us closer to Him and to each other and we praise Him for that. Looking back on the day we have mixed emotions.

We are thankful that God took us on this journey to meet with these wonderful doctors and that they discovered this bleed through the use of the MRI, which we would not have had otherwise. We are also thankful that he has used this process to deepen our faith and has given us many opportunities to share with others. We are disappointed in the result because we have poured so much time and effort into the details of this trip. We have also put so much of our energy into this decision and then to have it disappear is actually hard to put into words... but how can we argue when God has answered our prayer so clearly?

I know that God is the healer not the Doctors here. When Whitney goes beyond what they have predicted her to do, there is only one explaination--God's healing hand not the in utero proceedure. Thank you for praying us through this difficult week. We continue to eargerly anticipate what God has in store for our dear daughter.

Dear Matt and Susan,

Sometimes it is so hard to know what God wants us to learn from difficult trials. And yet He is constantly assuring us through His word, prayer, and the Christ like love from others that His answer is all we need. His grace is so sufficient. I have found it interesting that while this trial for your family is so huge (beyond what many people can imagine) that God is using you and your situation as such an encouragement and blessing to others. I read over your posts and it is simply summed up in the word beautiful. Your trust in Him is such a beautiful testimony of His love in you and for you. It is hard to imagine that we can be blessings to others in our time of trials...but sometimes He uses us in that special way, without us even knowing it. And it seems as though He has used you in this way this week through the ups and the downs. We will be praying for your safe trip home- and your exciting reunion with Fiona!

This is my favorite Bible verse and it has brought me much comfort through the years.

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

Matt and Susan, Praise the Lord for an answer to so many prayers. Our Lord is good. You were His servants and although it was an exhausting week of unknowns, you completly rested on HIS guidance and His direction. He will continue to guide you and lead you in HIS way. Keep believing in HIM. Thanks so much for the updates. We will continue to pray. He has your precious Whitney in the palm of His hands. Praise His name for your precious little miracle.
In Christs love,
Melody

I feel speechless when God speaks so quickly and clearly. Of course, "quickly", can be relative, but, wisdom and a clear answer were our deep prayer for you. Even though Whitney has not yet been born, she is effecting the spiritual lives of many. So many of us will keep watching and praying as you wait on the Lord in the days to come, and we eagerly anticipate what treatment He has designed for Whitney. "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him." Ps.62:5. Sue R.

What a Blessing that you have so many wonderful people who are surrounding you both with there love and help. You are both such a Blessing and the Lord is using you both in a very special way. We can't begin to imagine what you have all been though this past week. Wishing you a safe trip back to G.R. Dear Matt and Susan,
Isn't it amazing how God can be so clear. So glad He has clearly guided you in the path he wants you to go. He has chosen you for a very special job and with His help I am sure you will do an amazing job with Whitney. You will find with a child with special needs you can be an amazing witness for our Lord. We have had many opportunites to show God's love while caring for Josh.
May God bless you as you walk the path He has set before you.

Matt and Susan,
We are thankful to hear that you are able to trust God in this trial. It is sometimes hard when we pray for direction and then it is so clear, but maybe not what we were hoping. We will continue to pray for Whitney.
Fiona is beautiful!
