Going Home

A quick note:

CHOP told us today that we are disqualified from the study because of the small choriod plexus bleed in Whitney's brain. Praise God for a clear answer to our prayers. More to follow . . .

I am overwhelmed by God and the way in which he works. He answered your prayers so clearly and now our prayer is that Whitney continues to develop in the hands of our Lord. May His will be done!

Hi Matt and Susan...it was such a blessing to meet you both and fellowship with you yesterday. We've been praying constantly since you shared your story last night. We are saddened, on one hand, by the fact that you are going home. But we rejoice with you over God's clear answer to prayer and in the fact that you will soon be with your precious Feona again. Boy is she gorgeous!! As you said, 'As for God, HIS way IS perfect'. We will continue in our prayers for all of you. If you are ever in the area again, please let us know!! We'll continue to keep track of you through your blog! Love in the Lord, Cynthia and Rick Weber (Kayla and Sawyer too!!)

Matt and Susan-
Well, our prayer was for clear direction and it sounds like that prayer was answered. We will continue to pray for Whitney. Please know it was a blessing to meet you at our church. God is good...all the time.
In Him,
Andy & Mary Ann Sullivan

God is good. In response to this, I will share that I 'met' a 1 year 1 month old yesterday, born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The child was amazing, is crawling and starting to stand, and talking. Mentally, the parents are told she is normal. Physically, she expected to walk. She stands using AFO braces. Her initial surgery was less than 24 hours after birth. One week later, her shunt was placed. The pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Hahn at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, told the parents, at 21 weeks, to 'enjoy the rest of your pregnancy' and that the best time to perform the surgery is after the baby is born. She was delivered at 39 6/7 via C-section. It was amazing to see her and I'm excited to share this with your family. God has given you HIS answer and He is in control. Praying that the remainder of your pregnancy will go well.
