Whitney Update

Whitney visited the pediatrician earlier this week. Great report. She now weighs 9 pounds, 4 ounces--she was 8 pounds, 1 ounce at birth. We are pretty excited.

Matt and Susan,
I have been following your blog and praying for your family. Susan, I knew and loved dearly your mother Hennie. (I don't know if you remember me, but I made the programs for her funeral and later the memory books for your family.) God has brought you through much already and He will continue to provide everything you need for each new day. My family is in the midst of a trial as well as our daughter was recently diagnosed with cancer. One of my favorite verses has become, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful." (Hebrews 10:23)
Know that there are many brothers and sisters in Christ that are daily lifting your family up before the throne of our gracious Lord. Blessings to you all!
In Christ's Love,

Matt and Susan,
You don't know me, but Sharon Gallup(I think your sister goes to her church??) gave my husband and me your blog page. We are expecting a baby with spina bifida in 3 weeks. When we found out about it Sharon gave us your blog and let me tell you, it has helped us in so many ways. We have so many questions about what it will be like with a baby that has spina bifida. We have a 2 year old daughter at home and I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. We just wanted you to know that we continue to pray for Whitney and your family has you go through all these changes. Thank you for this blog and keeping all of us updated on her progress.
